Here she is ... Miss Wayne County 2010.
Sarah Suydam walked away with the crown Saturday at the Miss Wayne County Scholarship Program.
The 20-year-old St. Clair Shores resident, who is studying broadcast journalism at Wayne State University, outlasted 11 other contestants to win the title, a $745 scholarship and an opportunity to compete for the Miss Michigan title in June in Muskegon. Contestants do not have to live in Wayne County to be eligible to compete.
During her reign as Miss Wayne County, Suydam will travel the state advocating for animal cruelty prevention. She hopes to become a news reporter or radio show host.
