DETROIT -- The 83rd America's Thanksgiving Day Parade will have a celebrity lineup and community leaders for the holiday tradition.
The Parade Company announced that Art Van Elslander and WJR's Paul W. Smith will be co-grand marshals for Nov. 26 parade.
Van Elslander, the founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture, has been a supporter of the parade for nearly 20 years. He has commissioned numerous floats and donated more than $2 million to The Parade Company.

Smith, but their presence together will showcase our area and the best it has to offer," said Tony Michaels, president and CEO of The Parade Company.

What do an Olympic Gold Medalist, Miss America, and Robin Bouchard have in common? They will all be at the LC Walker Arena in Muskegon, MI, on Friday, November 13th when the Muskegon Lumberjacks take on the Flint Generals for Ladies Night.
What better way to begin Ladies Night than with Miss America, Katie Stam, singing the National Anthem? The festivities continue when Lisa Brown-Miller, a member of the 1998 Olympic Gold Medal winning US Womens Ice Hockey Team, drops the first puck.
Be sure to catch Lisa on the concourse during the game. She will be signing autographs during the first and second intermissions along with Miss Michigan 2009, Nicole Blaszczyk, and Miss Michigans Outstanding Teen 2009, Haley Williams.
